HINDU DHARMA

1. We should always wear in our forehead the traditional symbol like scared ashes, sandal paste, kumkum. This is to keep the agnya chakra cool and make our mind under control.

2. Ladies should wear bindi in their forehead and kumkum in the forehead line, once they are married. These are considered as Lakshmi kadasha. As kumkum is made from turmeric (manjal) it will cool the body and the tension will be reduced.

3. Early morning meditation in brahma muhurta will help us to make our body and mind fit.

4. We should take bath and wear clean washed dress daily in the morning. This is not only for outside freshness, this is mainly for inside fresh. Our sanatana dharma insists this because it says our atma is God. He is inside you. So taking bath really is for doing abhisheka who is inside you.

5. Light lamps daily morning and evening in house. In Morning hours before 7 am and evening before 6 pm.

• 6. Lighting of lamps will remove our ignorance. It will spread a wavelength of positive energy in and around. It removes all our paapam when we light lamps at temples. So lighting of lamps are considered as most auspicious one.

• 7. While going to temple we should go in our traditional dress. This is to keep ourselves in a decent manner and following old tradition will keep our dharma alive. Automatically respect will come both in our mind and action.

• 8. While doing our pooja, the time we spend in hours is not important, our dedication alone is important.

• 9. The bhakti should be from your heart not for the sake of others to show I am also doing this action or service.

• 10. Always true bhakti will lead you to the supreme divine level.

• 11. Keep your mind, thoughts and all the sense organs in control while worshipping Lord.

• 12. Don’t speak unnecessary inside the temple; because it not only make disturbance to others, it disturb even your mind. Because temple is a place we should, always keep focusing on the deity. Which will automatically make your mind and thoughts towards it, that is the vibration we get once we enter into temple.

• 13. While speaking use only humble words. Don’t use harsh words towards others.

• 14. Using of harsh words not only wound the person who are hearing it. It will return to you also. Because what you give to others is what you will get. This is what our dharma says. You will get either immediately or later. So you are the receiver no escape.

• 15. While using harsh and hard words towards others, just think what is the benefit you get by using such words. Is that benefit is permanent or not? Think this twice and then spell a word.

• 16. Always keep your words in your control. Once it is let out, we can’t at any time take it back.

• 17. Keep promise always. Once you give any assurance or commitment, then try to do in honest path.

• 18. Honesty is most important to everyone. You can win at any situation in your life if you are honest. Be honest not only to other but also to yourself.

• 19. What you think will come as your words, your words will be your character and this will make you.

• 20. To make yourself in a divine and a perfect person you develop your thoughts always in right path as shown in our dharma.

• 21. To make your thoughts always in correct way satsang is important.

• 22. Our thoughts are purified through meditation.

• 23. Meditation alone helps us to make strong and healthy.

• 24. Don’t waste your precious time in speaking gossipy and in engaging yourself in useless activities.

• 25. Satsang will give you both physical and mental strength. This will lead you to next step in your life.

• 26. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each one is born for a purpose in this world.

• 27. Always believe that there is a supreme power. That alone is true. Other than that everything is illusion.

• 28. Do every action in the bhava of eswara arpana. Automatically we will get good results.

• 29. Accept everything as eswara prasada. Then you will not get frustrated for what you have. You will sure get what you wish soon.

• 30. Respect elders always. Respect your parents. They are your first God.

• 31. Daily chant Rama, Krishna, Shiva shiva, Narayana like this at least for 30 minutes. This will strengthen you by taking near to HIM.

• 32. Do charity whenever you get opportunity. Utilize that opportunity in a perfect way.

• 33. Once you decided to do some good thing, don’t delay it. No one can give guarantee for the change of their mind and thoughts. So do it immediately.

• 34. The charity and good action you do now will come with you not only in this birth but also in your upcoming births and will keep you peace always.

• 35. Any charity or good things you do , do it for your self-satisfaction. Don’t do it for any advertisement. Then it will not give you any good result.

• 36. Be kind will all. Don’t hate anyone in this world. By hating someone actually you are spoiling your peace only. So don’t strain yourself unnecessarily.

• 37. See all human as God. Don’t harm animals. Love them also. HE is in all, so love all without any personal bias.

• 38. If anyone does any good thing don’t forget to praise him. If you are not able to praise but don’t tell anything wrong about him. Because he had the mind of doing a good thing at that moment that is a very big blessings and gift.

• 39. Read daily one sloka with meaning and tell to your Childers. This will help them to develop bhakti.

• 40. Help the poor people, mentally retread people, handicapped people, sick, old people. This service is equal to doing pooja for Eswara.

• 41. See all ladies as your mother and sisters.

• 42. In this world the most powerful person is Guru.

• 43. Surrender him totally. There is no difference between Guru and Eswara. Both are one and the same.

• 44. Don’t get anger. The anger will punish you is the truth. There is no benefit from anger. So always be calm.

• 45. Happiness does not depend on what you have. It is fully within you. Go in the path of dharma and enjoy your unlimited happiness.

• 46. When you give anything to others your mind will get peace and happiness and the receiver also reflects the same. This is the greatness of giving something to others.

• 47. Always think whatever wealth, health, knowledge you got is the grace of Lord only.

• 48. The flowers and the Nivedana you are offering to God should be fresh. We should not use the old one. Except, Tulasi, Arugam Pullu and Vilva leaf all should be new. These three can be used for three days.

• 49. Don’t bite nails and cut hairs inside the Temple and in houses. They are not auspicious; it will not keep Maa Lakshmi in house.

• 50. Don’t tell lie in any stage. Any situations face it by telling truth, which always keeps you brave and happy if you are in the path of dharma. Quotes from vedas ~Rig Veda

• 51. In real worship, we just not do ritualistic worship but we try to imbibe the qualities of the one we are worshipping.

• 52. The scholar should, therefore always perform good actions and deeds.

• 53. One should always speak the truth and tread incessantly on the path of righteousness.

• 54. One who knows himself perfectly is blessed with enthusiasm without which success is impossible.

• 55. The main factor behind success is - self-control.

• 56. Just as the Sun is respected for providing heat and energy to the world, in the same manner you too can attain respect in this world by acquiring knowledge.

• 57. Why shall he perform bad Karma who has been properly nurtured for many a thousand months and years?

• 58. Those who give knowledge also give the ability to earn wealth.

• 59. One should always help the weak, the destitute and the impoverished.

• 60. Those who do not perform their duties and lack a sense of responsibility can never succeed in their lives.

• 61. There is no religion greater than truth and a truthful person knows no fear.

• 62. Only the person having firm conviction and iron volition can attain strength and energy. At no stage of Karma does he ever hesitate.

• 64. Veda means knowledge and the vedas are really an ocean of knowledge.

• 65. We should take inspiration from learned-people and sages and put them into practice.

• 66. We should speak only after our thoughts have been purified and our mind and heart have become pure. od work done with bad intentions inevitably leads to failure. That is why one should refrain from evil tendencies.

• 67. Good thought can be imbibed by reading and studying good books and by contemplating on them.

• 80. The fire of knowledge is capable of destroying these enemies. Ignorance (darkness) can be destroyed by knowledge of self.
