ARULMIGU SRI MELMUDI ARANGANATHA PERUMAL

DEEPA ALANKARA SEVA

Lighting of lamps in the temple is considered to be one of the most valuable seva in our scriptures. Our Paba will be destroyed and we will get a peaceful life in the present life and will live like an emperor in our next Janma.

In Shri Shiva Maha Puranam, there is a story that a rat in the temple while running to save its life from a cat with its tail lid the lamp that is burning in the Garbhagriha which is almost to off, so that the lamp was able to burn more than an hour, because of this action by that rat it was born as an Emperor. Such a great Punya karma is given for lighting of lamp in a Temple.

To participate in such great punya karma, we are very much glad to introduce three types of schemes in our temple

One Lamp Seva:

If Rs 3/- is paid we will light a lamp in your name in the temple.

Daily Lamp for one Month:

For Rs 100/- daily we will put lamp in your name in the temple.

Eka dina Deepa Alankara Seva:

This Seva is done on the Karthika Masa during the Karthika Deepa Festival. When Rs 1000/- is sent, Deepa alankara is done in the temple in your name or any other name suggested by you. This will come around 365 lamps considering a lamp a day basis.

THOMALA SEVA

Offering of Thomala ( Tulasi maalai) to Lord Venkatesa is considered as a very big seva. Offering Tulasi will remove our entire papa that has been done in our past 7 jenmas. This Thomala will be offered in your name to Perumal if Rs 10/- is paid.

KSHEERA ABHISHEKA( MILK ABHISHEKA)

Ksheera Abhishekam will give you the wealth and prosperity in our life. Milk abhishekam and archana will be performed in your and in your family member's name on the convenient day you prefer us. Like your Birthday, Wedding day, your Children's Birthday etc. For this seva we charge Rs 100/-.

PANCHAMRUTHA ABHISHEKA

Panchamrutha Abhisheka will give good health. This whole Universe is made up of Pancha Bootham. So this Pancha ( five 5) plays a vital role in our life. This body is made up of pncha bootha, five organs, five jana intreeyas, mind, thoughts, ahankara everything when surrendered to HIM he will give us only happiness in our life. This Panchamrutha Abhisheka denoted that “I surrender totally to you Oh! Lord. Give me peace”. For this seva Rs 250/- is charged.( This amount is for Perumal only.Including Hanuman temple we charge Rs 500/-).

EKA DINA PUJA ( ONE DAY PUJA)

One whole day puja with prasadam will be done on your name or the family member's name on Wedding day or Birthday or any day you give us. For this seva Rs 800/- will be charged.

NANDAVANA SEVA

Maintaining of Nanthavana( Flower Garden) is considered as a very big seva from our ancient days. The significance of this seva we can see in the life of Alwars and Nayanmars. Many Kings and their family members did this seva for many temples because of the greatness of offering flowers to the nithya pooja for the deities in the temple. In our Nandavanam we have Roses, Jasmine, Kozhundhu, Maruvu, Pachai, Kenthi, Panneer poo, Arali..etc…all kind of flowers that are used for pooja.

TULASI VANAM

The greatness of Tulasi is said in Srimad Bhagavatam and Sri Devi Bhagavatham. Any pooja without Tulasi leaves are considered that the pooja is not finished in the proper manner. The greatness is even for three days this Tulasi leave can be used for pooja while we are in travelling. The Tulasi teertha will cure all the diseases. Lord Krishna says, “ I will be satisfied in those place where Tulasi is kept and will you all the wealth who offer even a single leaf thinking of me with bhakthi”. This we can see in the story when Sathyabama gave Lord Krishna as dana to Sage Narada, she gave all the wealth but the plate never got equal for Krishna. When Rukmini came and kept a single Tulasi leaf in the plate the plates in the scale got leveled and she got back Krishna from Narada. The greatness of Tulasi cannot be explained with one example alone. We are maintaining a separate vana(garden) for Tulasi.

We accept donations for maintaining this vana. And those who are all participating in this service, we will do sankalpa and pooja in their name. Tulasi is swayam Maa Lakshmi.

For maintaining this Nandavanam and Tulasi vana per month cost of Rs 3000/- faced for labour and pesticides.

PURATTASI SATURDAY SEVA

In our tradition Purattasi Saturday is very much important function in Perumal temple. In our temple we celebrate in a grand manner for two deities Perumal and Hanuman. We perform grand pooja and annadanam. For each deity pooja and prasada Rs 1500/-.

MARGAZHI MAHA SEVA

Lord Krishna says in Month I am Margazhi. Such a great month Margazhi, we have custom that during Margazhi masa, we do bhajans and pooja early morning in all Perumal koil. Like that we are also doing Margazhi masa kattalai in our temple. For this special pooja for Perumal Rs 1500/- is collected and special prasadam and pooja are done in a grand manner.

NAMA SANGEERTHANA AND VILAKKU POOJAI SEVA

In this Kali Yuga Nama Sangeerthana is the supreme most service to Lord. Through Nama Sangeerthana we will attain moksha. Vilakku pooja is the tradition that ladies will perform for the wealth, health, prosperity of the whole family. Both these two sevas are done on the same day. To perform this seva Rs 500/- is collected.

Note: To participate in this seva we request ladies to bring vilakku and plate to the temple all other needed items we will provide all archana items. Those who are in out of station but want to participate in this seva, we will arrange with temple vilakku and do in their name.

ANNADANAM SCHEME

Annadanam is the supreme most danas. None other can compensate and come equal to this. King Karna is the biggest example for dana dharma. There is a story that Karna was supposed to go to Yama loka because he doesn’t perform annadana. So after knowing the greatness of annadana he requested Yama dharma Raja to allow him to perform Annadana for 15 days and then he attains swarga loka. Such a great danam is annadana.

For this scheme minimum for 50 people we need 3000/-

LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP

We are having a Lifetime Membership for the Temple. As we are maintaining the temple from the membership subscription and donations collected we are having three types of Subscriptions for the convenient for the devotees. In that this Life Time Membership is for 10 years. Rs 3000/- paid as lifetime membership, for 10 years will use it for the purpose of salary and other maintenance in the name of the member.

YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION

This yearly subscription we can renew their membership card yearly by paying the whole year amount of Rs 300/-. To join as the member initial Rs 100/- we collect as down payment.

CONSTRUCTION OF VAIKUNTA VASAL - PROJECT.

With the grace of Arulmigu Melmudi Ranganatha Perumal we got the permission of constructing the Sorga vasal(Vaikunta Vasal) in the temple. In is the big project we are doing. Our appeal to the devotees and public is to participate in this divine construction work. The estimated amount for the construction of Vaikunta Vasal and Temple renovation is Rs 20 Lakhs.
